Objectives

  • Develop effective and user-friendly methods for capturing, modelling, and reproducing material appearance in the context of heritage digital twin (HDT), with perceptually acceptable match between real and virtual (DT) objects.
  • Implement cloud-based colour and appearance management and establish perceptually calibrated parameter spaces that enable precise simulation of surface-structure and appearance changes using psychometric scaling experiments.

Goals

  • A colour and material appearance managed, HDT workflow.
  • A method to precisely simulate plausible appearance changes of selected CH artefacts, including the UNCHANGE case studies, as well as case studies from our participation in the PERCEIVE and COLOURS EU projects.
